My name is Finlay Dodd, I am a Masters Student in Film Production at the University of Lincoln. I graduated from the BA in film production in 2024 and my graduation short film Vanishing Act was screened at Indie Lincs Independent Film Festival and was a finalist at the Graddie’s Student Film Awards - an award for the best graduation films in the country.

I recently took part in the Looking China program 2026 for which I travelled to Beijing for two and a half weeks and directed a short documentary about a Peking Opera performer. As part of the program I also worked with award-winning filmmaker Aaron Kopp.
